Kampong Speu: Following the strict instructions and orders of Brigadier General Meng Srun, Commander of the Kampong Speu Provincial Military Police, and with the coordination of the procedure from the Prosecutor of the Kampong Speu Provincial Court, the Kampong Speu Provincial Military Police, in cooperation with the Kandal Provincial Military Police, arrested 2 suspects in connection with the theft and receiving the proceeds of theft case.
At 21:20 on May 29, 2026, at the Maheng Guesthouse in Prey Kralanh Village, Lom Hach Commune, Ang Snuol District, Kankal Province, the Samrong Tong District Military Police Base Force expanded its jurisdiction to receive 1 suspect from the victim in connection with a motorcycle theft case. On May 24, 2026, the suspect stole the victim’s white Beat motorcycle with license plate number Kandal 1AU-7398 located in the Central Village, Rokar Thom Sangkat, Chbamon City, Kampong Speu Province, and fled. It was not until May 29, 2026 that the victim was found at the Maheng Guesthouse in Prey Kralanh Village, Lom Hach Commune, Ang Snuol District, Kankal Province, and the suspect was arrested and handed over to the authorities.
Under the military police’s professional rules, at 11:05 on May 31, 2026, the Phrom Bureau’s forces expanded their jurisdiction in cooperation with the military police base in Ang Snuol District, Kandal Province, to continue checking a motorcycle pawn location in Toul Sram Village, Peuk Commune, Ang Snuol District, Kandal Province, and confiscated 5 motorcycles without valid documents and 1 motorcycle belonging to the victim.
The two suspects are: the first, Ly Zhang, male, 21 years old, with an unspecified occupation, currently living in a rented room in Trapam Ampil village, Trapaeng Kong commune, Samrong Tong district, Kapong Speu province; and the second, Mem Met, male, 46 years old, with an unspecified occupation, currently living in Toul Sram village, Peuk commune, Ang Snuol district, Kandal province. The victim is Det Srey Lak, female, 29 years old, a factory worker. Currently residing in Tanlap village, Prey Phuoc commune, Ang Snuol district, Kandal province.
The seized evidence includes: 1 blue-colored CUB motorcycle without license plate (suspect’s motorcycle), 1 white Beat motorcycle with license plate 1AU-7398 (victim’s motorcycle), 1 Sirius RC motorcycle 1 black (no documents), 1 red Systini 100 motorcycle without license plate (no documents), 1 black AirBlade motorcycle (no documents), 1 black XR motorcycle without license plate (no documents) and 1 blue Sirius CT motorcycle without license plate (no documents).
Currently, the above suspects and evidence have been prepared by the Kampong Speu Provincial Military Police, who have sent the case to the Kampong Speu Provincial Court for legal action.
