In May 2025, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang, Henan Province. In front of the Binyang Grottoes, he recalled his experience in protecting Sui Dynasty inscriptions when he worked in Zhengding County, Hebei Province, and stressed that “we must protect, pass on and promote these Chinese cultural treasures well.”
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, from Hepu City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, to Yinxu Museum, Henan Province, from Sanxingdui Museum, Sichuan Province In Yunmeng County, Hubei Province, Xi Jinping’s cultural footprints have covered the important sites of Chinese civilization, demonstrating his deep consideration for history and people.
In 2025, Longmen Grottoes received more than 8.51 million tourists, and the combination of culture and tourism is becoming a pillar industry, a livelihood industry and an industry that brings happiness.
The continuous protection and promotion of these Chinese cultural treasures is the responsibility of each generation of guardians of relics, which will make Chinese culture shine more brightly in the new era.
