Phnom Penh: In a case of violence between a group of students, a student was beaten up at Chbar Ampov High School. Authorities arrested two students and brought them for questioning at the Chbar Ampov District Police Station on June 5, 2026.

Authorities cited the complaint of the victim, named Sony Hengly, male, student, residing at 79, Street 369, Deum Chan Village, Chbar Ampov 2 Sangkat, Chbar Ampov District.
On June 5, 2026, Chbar Ampov District Police arrested 2 student offenders:
1- Sok Vichea, male, student, residing in Deum Mak Kleu Village, Chbar Ampov 1 Sangkat, Chbar Ampov District.
2- Tek Sovannrath Mony, male, student, residing in a rented house in Deum Sleng Village, Chbar Ampov 2 Sangkat, Chbar Ampov District.
Cause: The victim and the perpetrator exchanged verbal abuse. The perpetrator is currently being questioned by the authorities, and the authorities are continuing to investigate and take legal action against a number of other people involved.
