Phnom Penh: After receiving information requesting intervention via the emergency hotline 1291 on June 9, 2026, there was a case of a man named Ek Sovannara, male, 41 years old, who was in a drugged state, acting in a disorderly manner and causing violence in the family at a rented room in Prey Tea Village 1, Sangkat Chom Chao 3, Khan Por Sen Chey, Phnom Penh.
Suddenly, the Phnom Penh Military Police in Khan Por Sen Chey immediately arrived at the scene, intervened, arrested the perpetrator, and sent him to the Phnom Penh Military Police Headquarters for legal action. A man who was drugged was tested by the Phnom Penh Gendarmerie and found to have drugs in his urine. It can be concluded that the man may have used too much drugs, which caused him to lose consciousness (drugged), and then behaved threateningly, intimidatingly, and causing violence in the family.
