Kampong Thom: On June 9, 2026, Mr. Long Kisong, Governor of Stung Sen City, led nearly 300 farmers, citizens, and students to launch a village cleanup and tree planting campaign in Kamreng Village, Srayov Sangkat, Stung Sen City, Kampong Thom Province.
On that occasion, the Governor of Stung Sen said that the current village cleaning and tree planting campaign aims to raise awareness among citizens, stakeholders, and students about proper garbage disposal and the importance of tree planting, raise awareness among students and the community about the environment and climate change, so that the community and stakeholders can better understand proper garbage disposal, create proper garbage disposal habits, and especially understand that a clean village starts with all of us. And this campaign is not only for Kamreng village in Srayov commune, but is a model for other villages to clean regularly for public health, personal health, and family health.
He urged authorities and stakeholders to continue to educate the community and students to be aware and actively participate in garbage collection and tree planting in schools and in the community. Cleaning the school to have a good environment and surrounding trees that provide shade for students to play and learn, especially increasing awareness among students and the community about the environment and climate change.
