Kampong Speu: Mr. Peng Porna, Minister of Public Works and Transport, instructed the head of the new Kampong Speu Provincial Department of Public Works to continue to adhere to the efforts and work proactively with the provincial leadership.
Minister Peng Purna’s introduction was made at the inauguration ceremony of the head of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Kampong Speu Province, attended by Mr. Yim Sokhom, Chairman of the Provincial Council, Dr. Cheam Chansophorn, Governor of the Province, leaders of the Ministry, Provincial Administration and surrounding authorities, as well as many other civil servants of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Kampong Speu Province on Friday, June 12, 2026.
The ceremony was held after the Royal Government of Cambodia entrusted Mr. Hong Chansokha with the responsibility of appointing him as the head of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Kampong Speu Province, replacing Mr. Chinh Kuong, who is retiring.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister expressed his appreciation and high appreciation for the efforts of the leaders, officials and staff of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Kampong Speu Province, especially Mr. Chinh Kuong, former Director of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Kampong Speu Province, who in the past led and managed the department smoothly and achieved many achievements for the province in the field of public works and transport with responsibility in the past.
The Minister also congratulated Mr. Hong Chansokha on being appointed as the Director of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Kampong Speu Province and advised the new Director of the Department to continue to work hard and proactively with provincial leaders, subordinate officials, especially with local residents, to achieve the vision and work direction of the ministry as well as the province itself, which have been set for implementation in 2026 and the following years.
