Joint authorities found a location in Niroth Sangkat containing 17 imported goods from Thailand.

Phnom Penh: Ms. Daw Samphos, spokesperson for the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration, said that joint authorities found a location at house number 352, street 351, Russey Sros Village, Niroth Sangkat, Chbar Ampov District, which was a warehouse storing various types of spices, beverages, and household goods imported from abroad, including 17 items imported from Thailand.

Ms. Daw Samphors stated that on June 14, 2026, yesterday, the 14 district administrations, in cooperation with a joint force from the Phnom Penh Police Station, the General Department of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, with legal coordination from the Deputy Prosecutor attached to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, inspected a total of 12 large and small warehouses in the locality suspected of importing, storing, circulating and distributing frozen products originating from Thailand.

The spokesperson for the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration said that through this operation, the joint authorities found a location at house number 352, street 351, Russey Sros Village, Niroth Sangkat, Chbar Ampov District, which was a warehouse storing various types of spices, beverages and household goods, a total of 1,647 boxes, equivalent to 14,638.5 kilograms, imported from abroad. Of these, the Phnom Penh Municipal Customs Office found 17 items imported from Thailand, and two items, 34 boxes of Oo-ichi tea and 4 boxes of Vitamin Blue water, were past their expiration dates.

After inspection, under the legal coordination of the Deputy Prosecutor, the joint forces decided to temporarily close the location to continue the procedure.
