Phnom Penh: Mr. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), has asked the management of Korean hospitals to examine the possibility of providing technical assistance and transferring modern medical knowledge and technology to contribute to improving the capacity of the health sector in Cambodia.

Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol’s proposal on the occasion of leading a high-level Cambodian delegation to pay a study visit to Incheon Baek Hospital, a famous healthcare institution in Korea, was welcomed by Dr. Seungho Baek, the hospital’s director, as well as the management and relevant staff.
The main purpose of this visit is to study in depth the progress of modern medical technology, digital hospital management systems (Digital Healthcare), and high standards of healthcare in the Republic of Korea, which is a leading country in the world in the healthcare sector.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the healthcare sector and the establishment of international standard hospitals are key priorities among the priorities of the Royal Government of Cambodia under the distinguished leadership of His Majesty the King. Prime Minister of Cambodia.

In this regard, he also requested the hospital management to examine the possibility of providing technical assistance as well as the transfer of modern medical knowledge and technology through training programs in any form and the exchange of experience between medical professionals from both countries to contribute to improving the capacity of the health sector in Cambodia.
This visit not only demonstrates the certainty and high level of attention of the Royal Government of Cambodia in attracting modern industries and high-quality services, but also serves as an important bridge to open a new page of cooperation between leading Korean health institutions and the Kingdom of Cambodia to serve mutual interests and improve the welfare of Cambodian people.
