Banteay Meanchey: On the evening of April 22, 2026, the Serey Sophon City Military Police, under the direct command of the provincial commander and with the coordination of the prosecutor, launched an operation to suppress drug trafficking and use at Kbal Spean Village, Preah Ponlea Sangkat.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 5 suspects (4 males and 1 female) who are karaoke managers, DJs, vendors, and people from other provinces. The seized drugs totaled nearly 200 grams (including 34 bags of ketamine and 39 packets/bags of ecstasy). Related materials: 2 weighing scales, 1 car, 1 motorbike, 10 phones and 1 computer.
After questioning, the suspects confessed that they had indeed bought the drugs to resell and use them. Currently, the suspect and evidence have been sent to the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Court by the case-building team for legal proceedings.
