Woman driver who killed two young men in Mondulkiri charged with murder

Mondulkiri: A serious traffic accident that resulted in the death of two young men on National Road 76 has been officially charged by the Mondulkiri Provincial Court Prosecutor’s Office after completing the initial investigation and reviewing relevant evidence.

According to a press release from the prosecutor’s office spokesperson It was confirmed that the incident occurred on April 24, 2026 at approximately 7:12 a.m. at O’Spean Village, Spean Meanchey Sangkat, Sen Monorom City. Investigations revealed that a woman named Seang Ravy, 67, was driving a white Ford Ranger XLT without a driver’s license and turned left to enter a gas station.

The same source said that the act of turning the road was negligent and reckless, causing the car to collide with an Exciter motorcycle that was traveling in the opposite direction on the priority road. The accident caused the motorcycle driver and his passenger, who were only 17 and 16 years old, to die at the scene.

Based on the results of the traffic police report, evidence at the scene, and the suspect’s confession, the prosecution concluded that the main cause of the accident was careless driving and violating traffic laws by driving without a driver’s license.
