Phnom Penh: Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, Minister of the Ministry of Interior, recently issued instructions on strengthening and promoting the efficiency, work practices, professional ethics, and work procedures of the councils and governing bodies of the capital, provinces, cities, districts, and khans.

According to the instructions, the Ministry of Interior has highly appreciated and valued the leaders and civil servants at all levels of the sub-national administration for their efforts and attention in implementing their roles, duties, and performing their work with a high sense of responsibility, achieving many work achievements, especially in maintaining peace, public order, basic development, and providing public services to citizens with quality, efficiency, and social equity.

Along with the remarkable achievements above, the Ministry of Interior has also reviewed and observed that some sub-national administrations have not yet fully implemented the work procedures, respect for administrative discipline, and promotion of professional ethics according to operational standards, affecting the effectiveness of leadership, management, and work management of local authorities.
