Phnom Penh: Dr. Kao Thach, the Royal Government Delegate in Charge as the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), invited to open a monthly seminar on “Policy Analysis in the AI Era” presented by Professor Dr. Chhem Keat Rithy, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Missions and Chairman of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ESCC).
The workshop was attended by 210 participants from the management, research team members, and staff of ARDB Bank, as well as researchers, professors, and students from relevant universities and institutes. The workshop was held on May 4, 2026 at the head office of ARDB Bank.
This workshop is the first monthly workshop organized under the framework of the Professor Aun Pornmoniroth Center for Policy Studies and Training With the aim of sharing knowledge regarding the important role of artificial intelligence technology for research, in order to contribute to the foundation for the responsible use of artificial intelligence technology in accordance with professional ethics to achieve better results, and to create a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and communication between researchers, professors, and students from relevant institutions and universities.
Also taking advantage of the opportunity, Dr. Kao Thach highlighted the achievements of the ARDB Research Center since its official inauguration in April 2025, in which the center has published three research reports, including reports on (1) MSMEs Development in Cambodia: An Analysis through the Lens of the Developmental State; (2) The Role Development Finance Institutions in Supporting Agricultural Cooperative in Cambodia: A Comparative Study and the Case of Agricultural and Rural Development Bank and (3) Linkages between Green Finance and Cambodia’s SDGs: The Contribution of ARDB.

Dr. also highlighted the role And the importance of artificial intelligence technology in supporting work in almost all fields, especially for research, where this technology will support work to be done more efficiently and quickly. On the other hand, the doctor also emphasized the risks of using artificial intelligence, which requires using this technology with great caution in accordance with professional ethics and contexts.
