Phnom Penh: His Excellency Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia will lead a high-level delegation to attend the 48th ASEAN Summit from May 7 to 8, 2026 in Cebu, Philippines, at the invitation of His Excellency Hidinan Romualdez Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines and Chair of ASEAN 2026.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the delegation accompanying His Excellency Prime Minister and His Excellency Dr. Pech Chanmoni Hun Sen includes Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, along with Deputy Prime Ministers, ministers and senior government officials, as well as business representatives from the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce and the Cambodian Tycoon Association.
Under the theme “Moving towards a shared future”, the Summit will provide a platform for ASEAN leaders to discuss key issues related to building an ASEAN community and the way forward, focusing on: 1) ensuring regional energy security and resilience, 2) food security stability, 3) the safety of ASEAN citizens, as well as exchange views on regional and international issues with a view to promoting a future of peace, prosperity, stability and resilience.
On the occasion of the Summit, the Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with ASEAN leaders to further strengthen cooperation that provides mutual benefits and common interests.
