Kampong Chhnang: Mr. Chhay Rithsen, Minister of Rural Development, First Deputy Chairman of the Royal Government Working Group in Kampong Chhnang Province and Chairman of the Royal Government Working Group in Samaki Meanchey and Teuk Phos Districts, on the morning of May 10, 2026, invited His Majesty the King to pay a courtesy call and present valuable gifts from His Majesty the King Hun Manet, Prime Minister, and His Excellency the President, to the officers, soldiers, veterans, and retirees of Kampong Chhnang Province at the Kampong Chhnang Regional Military Operations Headquarters in Kampong Chhnang City, Kampong Chhnang Province.

At the beginning, Brigadier General Um Sophea, Commander of the Kampong Chhnang Sub-Combat Area Command, made a welcome report, informing about the general situation of the Kampong Chhnang Sub-Combat Area Command and highlighted the contribution of the Royal Government working group in caring for and supporting soldiers, veterans and retirees, as well as military families, especially in participating in building various facilities at the command. At the same time, Brigadier General Um Sophea informed about the role, duties and commitment of the army in protecting the peace, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation, religion and the King.

After listening to the welcome report, Mr. Chhay Riththi Sen expressed his admiration and high appreciation for the sacrifices of all the soldiers in the cause of protecting the integrity of the territory and the people. He also conveyed the condolences, remembrances, and blessings of the highest leadership of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the leaders, soldiers, veterans, and retirees in the entire ceremony.

The Minister made a speech, highlighting the attention of the Royal Government of Cambodia since the past term under the skillful leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister, is currently the President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Acting Head of State until the current Royal Government in the 7th term of the National Assembly, under the wise leadership of Samdech Maha Bavorathi Hun Manet as Prime Minister, on the welfare and living conditions of the military, veterans and retirees, as well as their families, through visits, support, location and housing arrangements, and skills training to further improve their living standards.

At the same time, the Minister called on all officers, soldiers, veterans, retirees and their families to continue to trust in the Cambodian military and the leadership of the Supreme Leader of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, and Samdech Maha Prasad Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and to continue to unite as one, which is an important and strong pillar of the next battle, to support, encourage and give strength to the troops standing guard to protect the borders and territory of Cambodia.

Finally, in response to the organization’s request, the Minister also brought gifts of food and valuable funds from His Excellency the Prime Minister and His Excellency the Doctor to 100 officers, soldiers, veterans and retirees, each of whom received 1 box of rice, 1 box of noodles, 1 box of fish sauce, 1 box of fish sauce, 1 box of soy sauce, as well as some funds.
