The Kampong Speu Provincial Military Police have arrested and detained four male and female suspects, who were subsequently sent to the Kampong Speu Provincial Court in connection with a drug case in the Odong Mechey district.

Kampong Speu: Following the instructions of General Sao Sokha, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander of the Military Police in the country, and with direct guidance from Dr. Cheam Chansophorn, Governor of the Kampong Speu Provincial Government, under the direct leadership of Brigadier General Meng Srun, Commander of the Kampong Speu Provincial Military Police, and with the coordination of procedures from the Prosecutor of the Kampong Speu Provincial Court

At 3:36 p.m. on May 3, 2026, the Udong Mechey City Military Police Base, led by Brigadier General Seng Ramov, Commander of the Udong Mechey City Military Police Base, cracked down on 1 drug case at Road 51, Nei Wang Village, Wang Chas Sangkat, Udong Mechey City, Kampong Speu Province, and arrested 02 suspects (01 female). The suspect is named Nhil Bunthoeun, a 32-year-old male, a motorcycle mechanic, currently residing in Chatuchet Village, Vihear Luang Commune, Ponhea Leu District, Kandal Province, and the other is named Chan Ratana, a 27-year-old female, a waitress, currently residing in Prey Sar Village, Prey Sar Sangkat, Dangkor Khan, Phnom Penh.

Under the military police’s expert measures, at 10:39 on May 4, 2026, the military police base of Udong Mechey, led by Brigadier General Seng Ramov, commander of the military police base of Udong Mechey, identified and arrested two more suspects at Road 51, Nei Wang Village, Wang Chas Sangkat, Udong Mechey City, Kampong Speu Province. The suspect is named Phon Sida, a male, 18 years old, a garment factory worker, currently residing in Chong Koh Village, Koh Chen Commune, Ponhea Leu District, Kandal Province, and the other is named Kop Isri, a male, 17 years old, a vegetable seller, currently residing in Kanjhong Village, Chres Commune, Kampong Trlach District, Kampong Chhnang Province.

As a result, the military police seized evidence including:
-05 packets of white powder suspected of being drugs (weight 12.60 grams)
-05 mobile phones
-01 electronic drug weighing scale
-02 motorcycles (brand Zusiki Rider, red and black, full 1CN-8275 and brand Dream Set 2026, black, full 1LW-1884)
-02 wallets
-02 backpacks
-03 watches (02 broken)
-some drug paraphernalia.

Currently, the above suspects, along with the evidence, have been prepared by the Anti-Drug Bureau in the Crime Suppression and Investigation Department of the Kampong Speu Provincial Military Police Headquarters, and a case has been filed and forwarded to the Kampong Speu Provincial Court for legal action.
