Kampong Cham: Mr. Heng Sour, member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party, deputy chairman of the Kampong Cham provincial government working group and chairman of the Kampong Siem district local party working group, presided over the ceremony to “announce the inclusion of new members of the Kampong Siem District Cambodian People’s Party Committee” of 1,597 people (817 women) from 5 communes in Kampong Siem district, Kampong Cham province, which was held at the Peace Center in Kampong Cham city on the morning of May 10, 2026, with the participation of members, deputy chairmen of the Kampong Siem district local party working group and committee, as well as nearly 1,600 provincial party committee members.
On this occasion, he congratulated and warmly welcomed the new members and new shoots of the party who have made the right decision to join in building a life with the Cambodian People’s Party from now on. This is a reflection and a vision of the historical truth of the party through the active work, respect and adherence to the party’s roles, principles and conditions by the committee and party members at all levels, especially the solidarity of the people, strengthening grassroots work, disseminating and explaining to the people the truth, history, achievements, policy programs, as well as the respectful character of the leadership of the Cambodian People’s Party, with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen as its supreme leader.
Recalling the history of the party, Mr. Heng Sour emphasized that the Cambodian People’s Party is like a “stone pillar with a strong iron bone inside that will not easily collapse,” a party with a history of leadership, holding power and continuing to hold power, with a clear structure and vision, strong internal unity, leaders at all levels full of ability, and respected both at home and abroad, to the point of believing that only the Cambodian People’s Party leading the country can maintain “peace and continuous development.” He said that the Cambodian People’s Party fought to overthrow the Khmer Rouge genocidal regime and restore the nation, defend the nation and rebuild the country, protect independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, build and maintain peace and develop the economy and society that made Cambodia prosperous in history.
At the same time, he deeply thanked the leadership Party officials at all levels and the local party working group in Kampong Siem District have worked hard to achieve many achievements, especially in continuously building new members, which has led to a steady increase in the number of party members through the implementation of the approach of “preserving the old and increasing the new”, as Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Maha Prasad Hun Manet, Vice Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party, have often reminded. He highlighted to the new members the history of the party’s achievements, symbols, noble achievements, structure, political program, and internal unity and unity in the statutes, party views, and internal party regulations, which aim to gather Cambodian national forces with ideals of patriotism, homeland, love of democracy and peace regardless of status, livelihood, ethnicity, religion, or past, to join forces to protect the achievements of the national society and build a Cambodia with independence, peace, freedom, democracy, neutrality, and social progress.
Mr. Heng Sour also asked all party members to clearly understand the party’s long-term vision as stated in the motto: Independence, Peace, Freedom, Democracy, Neutrality, and Social Progress, each of which reflects the core for leading the country towards progress in all sectors, making the people more confident and successful in every election, every mandate. He urged the younger generation to abide by the party’s internal regulations, statutes, and regulations, unite as one, and adhere to good character and morality.
With the commitment to comply with the party’s internal regulations, the new party members said: Only the Cambodian People’s Party, which has overwhelming support from the people, has good and clear policies, has liberated the nation and its people from the Pol Pot genocidal regime, bringing rights, freedom, dignity, peace, and continuous development. That is why they have decided to join the party with all their heart to join forces to continue the development of the country.
