The President’s TVET 1.5M program: The National Institute of Economics has trained young people from poor and vulnerable families and nearly 3,000 citizens to have skills and a decent income.

Phnom Penh: The National Institute of Commerce of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training has provided more than 3,000 scholarships to young people from poor and vulnerable families and citizens starting in 2024, focusing on 9 majors for young people from poor and vulnerable families, including providing monthly stipends under the Vocational and Technical Education and Training (TVET 1.5M) program.

According to the National Institute of Business (NIB), since 2024, the institute has provided scholarships to a total of 2,987 students, including 455 young people from poor and vulnerable families. Among them, the most popular majors include Computer Graphic Design, Administrative Services, and Computer Services.

NIB has nine majors including Computer Graphic Design, Computer Services, Administrative Services, Customer Service, Human Resources Services, Installation and computer network maintenance, installation and implementation of digital technology, business creation and entrepreneurship, and online sales services.
