Pursat: Mr. Khoy Rida, Governor of Pursat Provincial Government, as well as civil servants and relevant territorial authorities, on the morning of May 17, 2026, accompanied Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, leading a ministry delegation to visit Samanea Wellness Resort and Veh Escape Resort in O Som commune, Veal Veng district, Pursat province, to learn about the development and provision of wellness tourism services, which have great potential.
The Ministry of Tourism and Pursat Provincial Administration, as well as the private sector, have jointly committed to promoting and developing tourism in Pursat Province to transform it into a high-end tourism destination to attract national and international tourists.
According to the assessment, O Som commune, Veal Veng district is an area with very favorable natural conditions in terms of climate, mountains and biodiversity, which is most suitable for investment and creating a center for leisure, quiet tourism and health care.
The visit of the leaders of the Ministry of Tourism and the Pursat Provincial Administration today demonstrates the great attention and support for the private sector, which has contributed to the creation of a high-end tourist area with the goal of attracting national and international tourists, as well as helping to boost the local economy and create jobs for local people.
