Phnom Penh: Acting Head of State Samdech Techo Hun Sen has invited the President of the Republic of Benin to visit Cambodia in the near future.
Mr. Chea Thirith, the Senate Spokesperson, said after Samdech Techo Hun Sen Sen allowed Mr. Franck E. W. ADJAGBA, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Benin to Cambodia, to present his credentials on May 19, 2026, stating that Samdech Techo affirmed the memories and a stronger bond of friendship for the relations between Cambodia and Benin. Samdech Techo recalled that he visited the country when he was Foreign Minister in 1983, when Cambodia was under foreign sanctions, but Benin still welcomed his visit at that time.
