Phnom Penh: Minister of Tourism Huot Hak said that effective development of the tourism sector requires unity, good cooperation, and implementation of work with ownership and high responsibility from all stakeholders.
The promotion of Mr. Huot Hak held a meeting to summarize the work results of the Ministry of Tourism in May and raise the work direction for June 2026 to review and evaluate the progress of work, listen to reports, strengths, shortcomings, challenges, and suggestions for continuing to promote the implementation of programs and key action plans in the tourism sector more effectively and achieve better results on May 27, 2026.
Through this important meeting, the report on updating the structure, staff recruitment and progress of the draft sub-decree on the organization and functioning of the Ministry of Tourism, the draft guidelines for the Clean and Outstanding Unit Competition, the report on the preparation of the 2027 budget plan and the 2027-2029 budget strategy plan, the draft key measures for the development of Phnom Kulen National Park tourism for 2026-2028, as well as the results of the monitoring, inspection and evaluation of the “end of term” achievements on the implementation of the updated tourism development plan for 2021-2025 and the preparation of the 2026-2030 tourism development plan.
