Phnom Penh: The Cambodian Journalists Club (CJC) collaborated with CBC on May 29, 2026 to organize a discussion forum between journalists and financial experts under the theme “Promoting Safe Credit Use” with the aim of contributing to improving financial literacy and promoting responsible credit use in society.

On the occasion of the opening ceremony of the forum on “Promoting Safe Credit Use” on May 29, 2026, with the participation of Mr. Puy Kea, President of the Cambodian Journalists Club (CJC), Ms. Mak Rasmey, Deputy Director General of Financial Regulation and Regulation of the National Bank of Cambodia, and Mr. Oeu Sothearoth, CEO of Ficta Bureau Cambodia.

This discussion forum provided knowledge on how to use credit or loans correctly and safely, which is essential for citizens in this era to avoid falling into a debt crisis and to use those funds to expand real businesses.

According to the program organizing committee, this discussion forum had a total of 86 participants Invited from 66 different institutions and news organizations. This large participation demonstrates the high commitment of the Cambodian media to contribute to the dissemination and education of financial literacy as well as the safe use of credit for the benefit of the entire national society.

All participants expressed their support and had a lively discussion on key points in understanding the formal credit system Debt risk management and improving the ability to write economic-financial news articles more effectively.
