Samdech Kittipritbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen donates 1 million baht to the Kantha Bopha Cambodia Foundation

Phnom Penh: Samdech Kittipritbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, on the morning of May 29, 2026, met and presented the 9th $1 million donation to the Kantha Bopha Cambodia Foundation, which is the 15th for the Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital.
 
The program Invited to attend were Professor Chheang Ra, Minister of Health, Dr. Denis Laurent, Director General of the Kantha Bopha Swiss Foundation, and Professor Ki Sonti, Director of Kantha Bopha Phnom Penh Hospital.

On this occasion, Professor Chheang Ra thanked Samdech Kittipritt Bandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, who always helps and supports and is a model leader who helped raise funds to build a strong hospital to help treat children’s diseases for free.

The professor said that over the past 33 years, Kantha Bopha Hospital has examined and treated nearly 30 million children. The hospital currently has a total of about 3,000 beds and more than 3,000 employees. The two Kantha Bopha hospitals in Cambodia cost about $45 million a year. In the first five months of 2026, the hospital has already spent about $16 million.
