Kampong Cham: On the morning of May 31, 2026, at the Peace Center in Kampong Cham city, Mr. Heng Sour, member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party and head of the Kampong Siem District Local Party Working Group, presided over the ceremony to “announce the admission of new members of the Kampong Siem District Cambodian People’s Party Committee” totaling 1,488 people (726 women) from Han Chey, Kien Chrey, Koh Samrong, Raang, Rum Chek, Sre and Trian communes of Kampong Siem district, attended by district party committees, communes and vice-chairmen, members and members of the Kampong Siem District Local Party Working Group.
On behalf of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian People’s Party, he thanked, congratulated and warmly welcomed the new members for their decision based on historical truth to join the great family of the Cambodian People’s Party, a party that liberated the nation, saved the people from the death throes of the Khmer Rouge genocide, built the nation and maintained peace, protected independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and developed the socio-economic system. This wise decision is truly the result of fulfilling the role with a proactive spirit, respecting and adhering to the party’s duties and conditions in visiting, promoting and explaining to the people the truth, history, achievements and party political programs of the Cambodian People’s Party Committee at all levels.
On this occasion, Mr. Heng Sour expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders, party officials at all levels and the local party working group in Kampong Siem District who are working hard to achieve many achievements, especially the continuous building of new members, which has led to the steady increase in the number of party members through the implementation of the approach of “preserving the old and increasing the new” as Samdech Techo and Samdech Mahapavordei Hun Manet, Vice President of the Cambodian People’s Party, always remind.
He also highlighted to the new members that only the Cambodian People’s Party has the longest history of leadership and power, and in the future, the Cambodian People’s Party will continue to be in power due to the overwhelming support from the people both at home and abroad, the number of members continues to increase, which has become a strong pillar of the people, with a clear structure and vision, strong internal unity, a leadership full of ability, morality and ethics, and constant connection with the people by daring to think, dare to say, dare to act, and dare to be responsible.
With a reminder of the party’s history to all new members, Mr. Heng Sour also asked them to understand the party’s long-term vision and reflect on the core of leading the country towards progress in all sectors and making the people more confident until they win elections in every mandate. In addition, we must abide by the Party Statute, the State Law, unite as one, adhere to good character and morality, and the principle of “collective leadership, individual responsibility,” and the local Party leadership must be ready to win the upcoming commune council elections on June 6, 2027.
