Phnom Penh: Cambodian youth studying telecommunications engineering at the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC) of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training have unveiled an impressive new invention: an Automatic Grounding Station capable of detecting signals from international satellites.

Young Chrin Bunnaren, a student studying telecommunications engineering at NPIC, said that the communication device was made to respond to an international satellite system at an altitude of more than 12,000 kilometers during the time when the international satellite passes over Cambodia in just 10 to 15 minutes.
The benefits of this device include its use for space-based communications, ground-to-air communications, and remote areas without mobile phone service. In addition, it can be used in the military and many other security sectors. According to the statement of the young woman.
Young Bunnaren added: “I urge our young Khmer people to seize the opportunity to study in this field of science and technology because the market is also in great need. Obviously, we see that there is a need and that it needs to be used in many fields, especially technology.”

Young Sea Kimhong, a student studying telecommunications engineering at NPIC, said that this device was created with the aim of training other students who want to study satellites and international satellite working groups. To quote the experience of international experts.
The young man said that this satellite science course received training and guidance from experts from Japan and France in order to spend time helping to train Cambodian youth to understand the work of satellites and the benefits of using them in the necessary fields.
Young Kim Hong said: “I am very proud to have studied this skill. Because it is a professional face that does not deserve the attention of the youth in our society. I would like to encourage young people to come and learn this satellite skill, which is a skill that is very necessary for our country today.

For Mr. Sun Mesa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training said that he is very proud of the Cambodian youth who have the ability to create this important technological device because it can be a new model for the next generation of young people to study and gain experience related to technology.
He said: “At NPIC, we have sufficient equipment and materials for training and research, which are modern and up-to-date. “So I encourage you, our young Cambodians, to come and register for vocational training because at our school, there are many skills that you can choose according to your interests and market needs.”
