Samdech Men Sam An invites people to pray for the blessings of “Tep Oknha Khleang Mueung and Madam Khan Khieu” to bless the nation and success in resolving the border issue peacefully.

Pursat: On the afternoon of June 9, 2026, after visiting the forces on the Thamma Da battlefield, Samdech Kittisanghabandit Men Sam An, Supreme Advisor to the King and Chairman of the Committee of the Cambodian Women’s Association for Peace and Development, invited people to light candles, incense, and flowers to pay homage to the spirits of Tep Oknha Khleang Mueung and Madam Khan Khieu at the monument in Kampeng Svay village, Samp Preah commune, Bakan district, Pursat province, to pray for happiness, prosperity, and peace for the Cambodian homeland.

On this great occasion, Samdech Kittisanghabandit announced his strong prayers, asking His Excellency Tep Oknha Khleang Mueang and His Excellency Khan Khieu to help protect Cambodia’s top leaders, especially Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Chief of the Royal Highness’s Personal Advisor and President of the Senate, and Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, to successfully resolve the Cambodian-Thailand border dispute peacefully and using international legal mechanisms.

Samdech Kittisanghabandit stated in a statement in order to encourage nationalism: “I pray that the Lords of the Royal Family, Oknha Khleang Mueang and Madam Khan Khieu, help protect our leaders to be victorious in protecting the integrity of the territory and wish our border protection forces, who are standing guard to protect the territory from the invasion of the Thai enemy, good health and safety. In fulfilling this sacred mission.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Mak Ra, Chairman of the Provincial Council, Mr. Khoy Rida, Governor of Pursat Province, and Ms. Ang Socheata Khoy Rida, Honorary President of the Provincial Branch of the Cambodian Women’s Association for Peace and Development, and representatives from various provinces. Including many accompanying delegations.

It should be noted that throughout history, Tep Oknha Khleang Mueang is considered a brave patriot who sacrificed his own life and that of his wife Khan Khieu to mobilize a ghost army to help King Chan Raja in the battle to defend the land from the Siamese enemy. The great achievements and contributions of Tep Oknha have been deeply rooted in the hearts of all Cambodian people.

On that occasion, the leaders and people of Pursat province also prayed to the gods of Tep Oknha to help protect the land of Pursat province for development and prosperity. And provide enough rain for agricultural work to improve the lives of the people forever.
