Siem Reap: Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, Minister of the Ministry of Interior, said that the Cambodian Border Management System-2 (CBMS-2) will clearly reflect the actual situation of managing international gates and entry and exit from the country, especially preventing and suppressing crimes.

The Deputy Prime Minister considered the new system to be another important achievement, resulting from the efforts of the leaders and officials at all levels of the General Department of Immigration, in accordance with the high principles of unity of His Excellency President Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia in 2024.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that “the CBMS-2 system will clearly reflect the actual situation of international gate management and entry and exit, especially the prevention, suppression and suppression of crimes.”
The use of this second-generation system is a testament to the Royal Government’s commitment to modernizing administration and strengthening national security through digital transformation, in accordance with the “Pentagon Strategy, Phase 1” of the 7th Royal Government.
Digital technology is one of the five key priorities (people, roads, water, electricity and technology) to respond to the 4th industrial revolution and contribute to improving economic productivity in order to achieve the “Cambodia Vision 2050”.

To ensure the effective use of the CBMS-2 system And high security, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha recommended continuing training in foreign languages and digital technology to ensure the efficient use of the system and to strictly protect the security of the system to prevent infiltration or illegal use of information.
