Foreign Affairs: According to RT, the United States said it carried out strikes in Iran in response to what it described as the downing of a US AH-64 Apache attack helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said President Donald Trump ordered the self-defensive strike in response to the downing of the Apache helicopter yesterday.

The mission was a proportionate response to Iran’s unprovoked aggression against the United States, CENTCOM said in a statement on X.

Iran’s Press TV reported that multiple missiles struck the strategic Qeshm island near the narrowest part of the strait. Hormuz, which is home to a major military base and oil terminal.

Attacks were also reported in other parts of Iran’s southern Hormozgan province.
