Cambodia-China to increase agri-trade volume, promote Cambodian potential products to the Chinese market

Phnom Penh: Cambodia and China have highlighted the strengthening and expansion of cooperation through trade, investment and infrastructure, especially increasing the size of agribusiness, and promoting Cambodian potential products to the Chinese market.

Actually on June 12 In 2026, Mr. Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, invited Ms. Zhong Jie, Counselor General in Charge of Economy and Trade of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Cambodia, who had completed her diplomatic mission, to express her courtesy and bid farewell to and welcome Mr. Xue Dong, who had just been appointed as the new Counselor General at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

During the meeting, the Cambodian-Chinese sides highlighted the strengthening and expansion of cooperation through trade, investment and infrastructure, especially increasing the scale of agribusiness, promoting Cambodian potential products to the Chinese market, developing human resources, and achieving achievements in participating in the construction of the National Science and Technology Laboratory, which serves many benefits in the agricultural sector.

At the same time, Mr. Xue Dong expressed his pleasure and confirmed his commitment to continue promoting economic and agro-trade cooperation, promoting investment in the agricultural sector between the two countries, and continuing to closely cooperate with relevant Cambodian institutions to achieve better results and bring benefits to both nations.
