Samdech Techo: Commune and Sangkat Councils must continue to pay attention to providing services

Phnom Penh: Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State, has reminded all civil servants, especially commune and sangkat councils, to continue to pay attention to fulfilling their duties and responsibilities in serving the nation and the people well and providing services to citizens.

During a meeting with provincial, city, district, commune, and sangkat councils and leaders of departments and organizations around Battambang and Pailin provinces on June 12, 2026, Samdech Techo said that commune and sangkat councils must continue to focus on providing necessary and necessary services to citizens quickly, efficiently, and effectively.

Samdech Techo reminded all officials to avoid any inaction or oppression and to remember that officials are not the people’s bosses, but loyal servants of the people.

Samdech Techo also instructed local authorities to pay attention to the well-being of the families of the soldiers standing guard to defend the land, the fallen soldiers, and the veterans. Samdech Techo highlighted the heroism and great contribution to the motherland of the soldiers who gave their lives to defend the motherland. So, we must repay them by taking care of their families’ lives, so that they do not have to worry about their families.

As for veterans, Samdech Techo also suggested taking care of them by visiting them and organizing other programs for them so that they do not feel lonely.
At the same time, Samdech Techo instructed authorities to pay attention to resolving land disputes for citizens quickly and effectively, especially out-of-court settlements without biasing any party.
