Cambodia officially launches “Cambodian Commercial Enterprises”

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Commerce, the Royal Government’s executive body, officially launched the “Cambodian Commercial Enterprise (CCEE)” on the morning of June 12, 2026.

Mr. Kem Sithorn, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, on the occasion of presiding over the official launch of the “Cambodian Commercial Enterprise (CCE)”, said that the establishment of the CCE is a flexible and long-term response and that its establishment is not intended to compete with or replace the role of the private sector, but the CCE will act as a “dynamic strategic partner” to open the way to new business opportunities, help develop markets and create favorable conditions for the Cambodian private sector.

He added that the announcement of the CCE’s launch It is also part of the implementation of the strategic vision “Towards excellence in the Cambodian trade sector, with dynamism, resilience, innovation and competitiveness” through the Cambodian Trade Strategy 2026-2028 on the three core tasks: institutional reform, domestic trade and international trade.

He stated that in line with the first phase of the Royal Government’s Pentagon Strategy, although rice remains the main strategic commodity, the S.P.C. will expand the scope of intervention and the search for international market opportunities for other potential agricultural products as well as organic products and other processed agricultural products, aiming to increase domestic value added and expand exports.
