On June 17, the Information Office of the State Council of China released a white paper on “Building a More Just and Reasonable Global Governance System: China’s Views, Initiatives and Practices” to present China’s views, initiatives and practices on global governance and gather the consensus of the international community to respond more effectively to global challenges and build a more just and reasonable global governance system.
The white paper pointed out that since the dawn of the new era, Chinese President Xi Jinping has put forward major initiatives on building a community with a shared future for mankind, initiated a global governance perspective of discussion, joint construction and joint sharing, and initiated the implementation of multilateralism in a consistent manner, promoting economic globalization that is equitable and orderly, inclusive and beneficial to all.
The white paper also stated that after the global governance initiative was proposed, it received rapid support and responses from nearly 160 countries and international organizations, and more than 60 countries actively participated in the “Group of Friends of Global Governance”, which added stability and valuable driving force to a turbulent world.
