Mr. Khuong Sreng invited to attend the official opening ceremony of the 3rd Summit of the Global Cities Network for Sustainability

Tokyo: Mr. Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh, on April 27, 2026, attended the official opening ceremony of the 3rd G-NETS Leaders Summit in Tokyo, Japan, at the invitation of Ms. Yuriko Koike, Mayor of Tokyo.

With the high approval of His Excellency Dr. Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and His Excellency Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, Mr. Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh, and Mrs. led a delegation of the Phnom Penh Administration to visit and attend the 3rd G-NETS Leaders Summit from April 25 to May 1, 2026 in Tokyo, Japan.

According to Ms. Daw Samphor, spokesperson for the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration, Mr. Khuong Sreng and the delegation stated that the Global Cities Network for Sustainability was established by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in 2022 to foster diplomatic ties between cities around the world, allowing cities to use this platform to share knowledge, technical expertise, test innovative technologies, and collaborate on advanced policies to address global challenges and create a shared urban future that is sustainable, resilient, and inclusive.
