Preah Vihear Province: On May 6, 2026, a high-ranking delegation led by General Kittisanghabandit Kun Kim, Senior Minister, Vice President and Secretary General of the Cambodian Veterans Association, presided over the official inauguration ceremony of the headquarters building of the Cambodian Veterans and Retirees Association in Preah Vihear Province.
The ceremony was held in Tambon Tham, Palhal commune, as Cambodia prepares to celebrate the 19th anniversary of Cambodian Veterans and Retirees Day (May 12). The new administration building is another important achievement that reflects the government’s attention to promoting the support system for those who have sacrificed for the country.
A strong reference for veterans’ welfare, the new headquarters building is designed to be a modern administrative center with the aim of improving work efficiency. And provide support services to veterans in the region to be more warm.
In his speech on the occasion, the General emphasized that this headquarters is not only a place to work, but also a commitment to coordinating and resolving all challenges of veterans in a timely and effective manner.
In his keynote speech, General Kittisanghabandit Kun Kim conveyed the greetings and deep gratitude of Samdech Techo, President of the Association and Samdech Thip Dei, Prime Minister of Cambodia, to all veterans.
We are deeply grateful for the invaluable sacrifices of our veterans, the Minister said. The sacrifice of your strength, body, and life is a strong foundation in building peace and independence for our homeland.
The inauguration ceremony is a clear reminder of the nation’s high regard for the heroism of those who have served the nation and ensures that the spirit of seeking peace remains at the core of Cambodia’s sustainable development.
