Kampong Cham: On May 8, 2026, Mr. Un Chanda, Governor of Kampong Cham Province, led relevant officials and local authorities to inspect and improve the Rung Chrey Dam area to become a natural resort area located in Araks Thnaot Village, Araks Thnaot Commune, Stung Trang District, Kampong Cham Province.
Mr. Un Chanda set a goal to develop the Rung Chrey Dam area resort by having the private sector participate in part of the development to help ease the burden on the state. In addition, the provincial governor instructed the private sector responsible for the development of the area to restore the Rung Chrey dam to a deep level to store water for residents to use during the summer and allow residents to irrigate their crops.
The provincial governor also instructed to build roads and infrastructure in the area around the resort To be clean for national and international tourists to come and enjoy, to be easy to travel and to create conditions for residents living in the area to use for transporting various agricultural products.
