Kampong Cham: Mr. Un Chanda, Governor of Kampong Cham Province, urged the durian community of Stung Trang District to create product labels to promote the value of local agricultural products and prevent durian counterfeiting from other regions.

Provincial Governor This was mentioned during a meeting and inspection of a durian-growing community in Rok Tnaot commune, Stung Trang district, on May 8, 2026.

The provincial governor said that durian in Stung Trang is an agricultural product with high potential and a delicious taste that is recognized by consumers. However, in the past, the name “Stung Trang Durian” has been used on durian imported from outside the region, which has affected its reputation and true market value.

The provincial governor also advised the community group to encourage the community to cooperate with the specialized department to create a logo and a label that confirms the origin of “Stung Trang Durian”. Recommend the use of QR Code labels on each durian fruit so that customers can easily scan and check the source of the plantation. Must adhere to agricultural principles to ensure consumer safety.

On that occasion, farmers in the durian community of Stung Trang district expressed their happiness and full support for this recommendation and promised to work hard to organize a stronger community structure to transform the durian of Stung Trang To become a prominent agricultural brand in Kampong Cham province.
