Kandal: On May 10, 2026, Dr. Kao Thach, member of the Central Committee, member of the Central Party Youth Committee, deputy chairman of the Khsach Kandal District Party Working Group and chairman of the Khsach Kandal District Youth Movement, and Mr. Nut Putdara, member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party and deputy chairman of the Kandal Provincial Party Committee, were invited to preside over the election ceremony for the youth leadership of the Prek Tamak Commune Party in Khsach Kandal District, Kandal Province.

The election ceremony for the youth leadership of the Cambodian People’s Party in Prek Tamak commune was attended by Mr. Cheng Dina, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the District Party, members of the Provincial Party Committee, the Prek Tamak Commune Party Committee, and a total of 325 members of the commune party’s youth.
The election program for the youth leadership of the Prek Tamak commune Party has 10 candidates, 6 female and 4 male.

On that occasion, Mr. Nut Putdara, Deputy Chairman of the Kandal Provincial Party Committee, stated that the main purpose of the election of the Prek Tamak Commune Youth Party leadership is that for the first time, the party wants capable, courageous and effective youth who will break away from the Cambodian People’s Party.
At the same time, Mr. Nut Putdara added that after selecting the youth leaders in Prek Tamak commune, he will use this experience to organize youth elections in 5 other communes in Khsat district, Kandal province.

For Dr. Kao Thach On behalf of the head of the Khsach Kandal District Youth Movement, he addressed the youth of the Prek Tamak Commune Party, stating that today’s election is the implementation of the party’s democratic principles, which is an essential principle of the party, and the party also adheres to promoting the implementation of multi-party liberal democracy in Cambodia by participating in the organization of regular national elections in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The doctor further advised that as the youth of the commune party, we must consider building more capacity, not only within the party framework and our own capabilities, which means that we must be good youth and role models in the commune, serving the people in environmental, social, and public welfare work as actively as possible at the local level.

In particular, the doctor reminded that the young people who were elected today must carry out their roles and responsibilities in our commune according to the principle of collective leadership, each person taking responsibility in the village and commune with virtue and morality to participate in building our nation together, especially to work hard on party work, serve the party and serve the people in the commune well in order to move towards the upcoming elections in 2027 and 2028.
Please note that in the election ceremony for the leadership of the Prek Tha Mak commune youth party Among the 10 young people nominated, 6 are female and 4 are male. The first is Ms. Yan Lati, a high school graduate (baccalaureate) from Anlong village; the second is Phon Sothea, a bachelor’s degree from Mey village; the third is Hul Tenghuy, a bachelor’s degree from Svay At Kandal village; the fourth is Ms. Koeun Chanthy, a high school graduate from Boeung Krachap Tbong village; and the fifth is Ms. Long Lai Sim, a high school graduate from Anlong village, Vihear Suur commune, Khsach Kandal district.
