Kampong Cham: Mr. Neth Savoeun, Deputy Prime Minister and Honorary President of the Cambodian Red Cross Society of Kampong Cham Province, on May 12, 2026, presided over the ceremony to celebrate the 163rd anniversary of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on May 8, 2026 under the theme “Continuing to join forces for humanity” at Kampong Cham Provincial Hall.

Mr. Un Chanda, Chairman of the Kampong Cham Provincial Committee of the Cambodian Red Cross, said that with a legitimate mission to assist public authorities, branches and sub-branches have continued to participate in solving the difficult problems of victims and vulnerable people everywhere, in all situations, leaving no one behind and without discrimination, in accordance with the 7 fundamental principles of the movement. During the first period of this 6th mandate, branches and sub-branches have responded immediately to the actual needs of victims and vulnerable people in 122,044 families.

Over the past period, the branches and sub-branches have played an active role in the delivery of humanitarian services, focusing on the four priority areas, responding to the real needs of the vulnerable, achieving remarkable results.

On that occasion, Dr. Neth Savoeun said that the achievements and successes of the Kampong Cham branch of the Cambodian Red Cross over the past year cannot be separated from the peace factor that emerged from the win-win policy under the wise leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, the Supreme Leader and Founding Father of Cambodia, which is not only a light in survival, but also a driving force that allows us to have full opportunities to serve humanitarian activities, promote national and international stability.

Mr. Neth Savoeun took the opportunity to express his gratitude to all the philanthropists who, each year, have always volunteered to donate resources and support the Kampong Cham branch of the Cambodian Red Cross, which is a continuation of the noble tradition of charity since the time of His Majesty King Hun Neng, who was the model leader of the Kampong Cham branch of the Cambodian Red Cross. Which has left a good sharing culture that continues to this day.
