Senior officials from the Ministry of Labor hold discussions with representatives of CFIPEC Cambodia and IPEC Malaysia to strengthen cooperation on human resource development in line with international standards.

Phnom Penh: On the morning of May 12, 2026, at the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, Mr. Seng Sakda, Secretary of State, represented by His Excellency Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, received a courtesy call and discussed with Mr. Oknha Bandit Chhay Sothea, Director General of CFIPEC Cambodia, and Ms. Juliana Lim, Founder of IPEC Malaysia, to strengthen cooperation on human resource development, national and international skill recognition through the provision of IPEC international certificates.

On that occasion, Mr. Oknha Bandit Chhay Sothea, Director General of CFIPEC Cambodia, and Dr. Juliana Lim, Founder of IPEC Malaysia, informed about their mission to bring the ISO/IEC 17024 standard to Cambodia to confirm individual capabilities and improve the quality of human resources to be reliable and recognizable in both the national and international job markets.

With support for workforce development, vocational training, and the promotion of international standards in line with the policies of the Royal Government of Cambodia, the company also presented in detail the background, structure, role, vision, mission, programs, and services in assessing and providing certificates of competence of CFIPEC to become Cambodia’s leading platform for internationally recognized certificates of competence, workforce innovation, and professional excellence. 

In addition, CFIPEC representatives also expressed their intention to collaborate with the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training on the development of the Cambodian workforce through upskilling, reskilling, and cross-skilling.

In response, the Secretary of State warmly welcomed the company representatives and colleagues, expressing his interest in supporting and highly appreciating the company’s objectives in establishing cooperation with each other, especially in transferring knowledge to young people as well as Cambodian workers in accordance with international standards through strengthening skills, learning new skills, and adding new skills in line with old skills. The experts from the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training and the company will continue to discuss further, hoping to achieve a fruitful collaboration in the near future.
