Phnom Penh: The Royal Government has provided every opportunity for young people, including good policies, good and diverse schools, competent teachers, and no shortage of learning materials. However, only self-effort is the driving force that drives us to become outstanding, prominent in society, and useful to the nation in the future.

This was stated by Mr. Pen Bona, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and Head of the Royal Government Spokesperson’s Unit, on the occasion of being invited to preside over and be a speaker at the lecture on “Youth Participation Towards achieving Cambodia’s Vision 2050” at the Royal University of Fine Arts on Monday afternoon, May 18, 2026.

To become human capital in line with the government’s five-pronged strategy, Mr. Pen Bona encourages students to work hard to learn beyond knowing, as the ancient proverb says: “Knowing ten is not equal to one.”

The government spokesman emphasized that when you become a talented person with outstanding talents, many good jobs await you in the future. The government spokesperson also highlighted to university students the key elements of human capital that the government wants, namely, having at least one real life skill, the ability to coordinate and adapt, known as soft skills, good morals, good health, and a true sense of patriotism.

Please note that this lecture will feature an invitation to attend and a welcoming speech from Dr. Heng Sophady, Rector of the Royal University of Fine Arts, including the board of directors, professors, teachers, and nearly 300 students.
