Tboung Khmum: In response to some analysts who often say that the Royal Government only has theories, Prime Minister Hun Sen has asked to see the actual results, such as the rubber processing factory of Kims Rubber Company, which was inaugurated today, is a real factory, not a paper factory.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the rubber processing factory of Kims Rubber (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. in Choam Mlor village, Rokap Pham commune, Tboung Khmum district, Tboung Khmum province, on May 27, 2026, Prime Minister Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, stated that the Royal Government has an important goal for agriculture and farmers to increase their income.
At the same time, the Prime Minister asserted that the preparation Encourage the establishment of processing factories, whether rubber or cashew, the most important goal is to bring benefits and income to farmers through the means for the factories to operate and create additional jobs for the people. Moreover, the industry has a local and stable market, which is better than exporting abroad.
The Prime Minister emphasized that all of this is a policy of modernizing industrialization, making Cambodia more capable and stop exporting raw materials to export semi-finished products that can guarantee prices.
On that occasion, the Prime Minister said that some people only say that the Royal Government only has theories and should implement them, while the Prime Minister said that what was inaugurated is not really happening.
In which, Prime Minister Hun Manet said “As I always say, it’s not about what I say, it’s about the results on the ground, and today, a $30 million factory that can process and buy rubber products from the people of Tbong Khmum here is a tangible result, not a paper factory, but a real factory that we need to build and continue to promote, and I support the company to continue expanding in Ratanakkiri so that we can promote our agro-industry and process more locally.”
It is worth noting that Kim’s Rubber Company was established and legally registered in Cambodia in 2024 with the aim of promoting and contributing to the development of the agro-industry sector through the production and processing of rubber crumb rubber at international levels and according to European Union standards for export abroad and to supply rubber to factories in the country for the production of tires and other materials.
Kim’s Rubber Company is the fourth largest natural rubber manufacturer in the world and has invested approximately 30 million US dollars on an area of nearly 15 hectares with the capacity to produce 100,000 tons of rubber per year. Provides direct employment to approximately 300 people and indirectly (rubber dealers) over 50,000.
