Mr. Jiří Pos, CEO of Prague Airport, said: “Vietnam is the most important market in Southeast Asia in terms of passenger numbers. In 2025, more than 75,000 passengers traveled between Prague and Hanoi. The new flight connection will make travel easier for the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic and their families. At the same time, we expect the growth of tourism and convenience, which will stimulate more travel demand from Vietnam for Czech travelers. Another important point is the strengthening of trade relations between the Czech Republic and Vietnam. Vietnam also represents an important gateway to Southeast Asia, and we expect this route to be used for cargo transportation as well.”

Mr. František Reismüller, CEO of CzechTourism, said: “The air connection between Prague and Hanoi is very important for Czech tourism. Vietnam is one of the markets with great potential, not only in its own right, but also as a transit point for other Southeast Asian countries. This convenience will encourage more travelers to make their travel decisions. “The new route will therefore significantly facilitate travel to the Czech Republic, which will support travel demand from Southeast Asia and open up further opportunities for the development of tourism and trade relations.”
