Cambodian and Thai diplomats meet face-to-face in New York to discuss confidence-building measures, easing border tensions

Phnom Penh: In New York, United States, Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, and Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, met face to face to discuss confidence-building measures, easing border tensions, continuing to implement bilateral mechanisms, and restoring normalcy in relations between the two countries. According to a statement by Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn.

The talks follow on from a trilateral meeting between the Cambodian Prime Minister, the Thai Prime Minister, and the Philippine President in Cebu earlier this month.
