Phnom Penh: On the one-year anniversary of the war provoked by the Thai side to violate the integrity and sovereignty of Cambodia, Dr. Kin Phe, a political analyst, expressed the view that relevant ministries and institutions, which are the staff of the Royal Government of Cambodia, must continue to protest and make diplomatic arrangements so as not to violate rights.

In a roundtable discussion on “One Year Update on Thailand’s Provocation and Invasion and Cambodia’s Solidarity and Position in Protecting Territorial Integrity” on May 28, 2026, Dr. Kin Phe said that Cambodia must continue to protest so as not to violate rights for the ongoing violations of the Thai military’s actions on Cambodian territory by the Thai military after the second ceasefire on December 27, 2025.

The doctor said that the change in the actual situation on Cambodian territory from the Thai side through various actions to make the international community see that they want to become tangible evidence of the occupation to devour Cambodian territory. However, despite the Thai side’s efforts to organize various programs on Cambodian territory, Thailand has not been able to establish legal ownership of Cambodian territory.

Dr. Kin Phe added that “the government’s protest action is an action to maintain the right to reclaim all the land, temples and ancestral heritage of Cambodia that they illegally seized. We will not allow this barbaric and despicable act to remain silent, which violates our rights to claim under international law.”

Please note that May 28, 2026, marks the one-year anniversary of the start of the invasion of Cambodian territory by Thai forces. For the past year, the Royal Government and the leadership of Cambodia, with the help of brave warriors and the support of citizens from all walks of life, have made every effort to protect the integrity of the territory and maintain peace for the nation.
