According to the results of the 10th meeting of the 4th mandate of the National Anti-Corruption Council of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) on May 28, 2026, the meeting discussed the latest developments in the Siem Reap Provincial Court’s investigation into Ms. Leng Channa’s case, which includes 19 civil cases and 32 criminal cases, and the latest developments in the ACU’s investigation into Mr. Sean Borat, Vice President of the ACU, and Ms. Leng Channa and her associates.
The National Anti-Corruption Council confirmed that Ms. Leng Channa and individuals named Chan Khin and Phon Samean admitted to receiving between $93 and $98 million from “Me 25” and used the money to buy land to develop the project, provide interest to “Me 25” and provide interest to those who paid for the investment.
The National Anti-Corruption Council added that the results of the Court of Appeal hearing on April 29, 2026 and the announcement of the verdict on May 27, 2026 in the case of Mr. Kon Sokkay, Mr. Duong Dara, Ly Samet and Mr. Lach Samrong were charged with attempted bribery. .
Please note that former tycoon Leng Channa, president of “Brinlian City World”, was arrested by Siem Reap police on the afternoon of March 12, 2024 in a case of defrauding citizens of land, houses and investments worth millions of dollars.
