Phnom Penh: Mr. Khuon Phonrattanak, Ambassador of Cambodia to the Republic of Korea, received a courtesy call and a chat with Mr. Sovath Monineak (N’ John), a top Cambodian singer who is good at both dancing and playing guitar for Circa 13 Music in the United States and the son of top singer Mr. Preap Sovath, on the occasion of his group performing in a concert with a K-pop singer in Seoul, Korea.

During the meeting, Pete Dinero, the manager of Circa 13 Music, informed the ambassador that this was the first time his group had performed in a concert in Seoul. He said that after today’s performance, his company will continue to cooperate better with Korean entertainment companies so that N’ John will have more opportunities to perform in Korea because he has the ambition to promote N’ John’s popularity in Korea and other countries in Southeast Asia.

The ambassador expressed pride in seeing Cambodian singers perform on the international stage. He hopes that Mr. N’ John will be able to cooperate with the embassy in participating in major programs of the embassy so that Cambodian citizens can meet and watch his performances.
He informed Mr. N’ John that next year is a special year for the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Korea. He wants to have a joint performance of Cambodian-Korean music that incorporates Khmer culture and civilization so that diplomats and foreign guests can see and know more about the rich culture of Cambodia.
