Kampong Cham: Mr. Un Chanda, Governor of Kampong Cham Province, on May 30, 2026, led relevant experts and local authorities to inspect the impact of people’s land use on the land for feeding the Prek River, managed by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, in Russey commune, Srey Santor district, Kampong Cham province.

The provincial governor said that the impact on the use and livelihood of people on the Prek pasture land in Srey Santhor district is in 3 communes, including Svay Khsach Phnom commune, Prek Dam Bok commune, and Russey Sok commune.

Mr. Un Chanda stated that in the above case, the provincial administration has taken measures for the specialized departments and the authorities of Srey Santhor district to clearly identify the land and to identify the people who are occupying and using the land, in addition to the construction of various structures and the state of land changes, which currently we see that the situation of shallow land is constant, whether in the dry season or the rainy season.

Therefore, the provincial administration has taken measures to have the working group of the district authority and the specialized department conduct a study to submit suggestions to the provincial administration for examination and resolution.
