Phnom Penh: Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, and his wife, as well as the ministry’s leaders, were invited to meet and greet and have a friendly lunch with workers at the Marvel Garment Co., Ltd. factory in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone on Monday morning, June 1, 2026.

The invitation to meet with the workers in a happy and friendly atmosphere is an important opportunity for the leadership to personally inquire about the well-being and understand the daily working conditions of the workers who are working at the factory in order to provide solutions to them in line with the ten high-level recommendations of Samdech Techo and the ten points of Samdech Thip Dei.

Minister Heng Sour conveyed the greetings of the King and Queen, who always pay close attention to the welfare of workers and employees and think about improving their living conditions. He also informed everyone about the efforts of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training to ensure the harmony of professional relations by increasing close relations between workers and factory owners and enterprises, jointly resolving all problems, avoiding labor disputes that lead to illegal strikes. If there is a problem that cannot be resolved or is unclear on any point at work, please immediately contact 1286 for the Ministry or Department of Labor’s dispute resolution team to mediate or explain, and 1297 for information on job opportunities or vocational training. The Minister also encouraged the enrollment of 1.5 million vocational students through the TVET program.

The Minister also deeply thanked and highly appreciated the factory owners for providing job opportunities and implementing labor laws in a good manner, as well as providing benefits to workers and employees. The factory has a technology-based management system. Production chain with modern technology system and comfortable workplace.

In this friendly atmosphere, the workers and employees expressed their great joy at the presence of the ministry leaders, which truly showed their high attention and warmth to them. In line with the high recommendations of His Majesty the King, Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, who strives to create job opportunities for citizens and transforms an enterprise into a peaceful community. Working conditions and occupational health and safety conditions at the factory are of high standards. Workers receive many benefits, including benefits from the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).

Please note that Marvell Garment Co., Ltd. Located in the Royal Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone, it opened in September 2020 as a garment factory supplying clothing to many famous brands. It currently employs more than 20,000 workers. Workers here enjoy good working conditions and many other benefits, including a place for workers to eat and free lunch.
