Kampong Chhnang: On Wednesday morning, June 3, 2026, Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, and his wife, as well as the ministry’s leaders, visited and had a friendly lunch with workers at the SHINKI APPAREL (CAMBODIA) CO.,LTD. factory in Svay commune, Samaki Meanchey district, Kampong Chhnang province.

The invitation to meet with workers in a happy and friendly atmosphere is an important opportunity for leaders to personally inquire about their well-being and understand their daily work situation in order to provide solutions in line with Samdech Techo’s ten-point recommendations. And the 10 points of His Excellency Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, who strives to create job opportunities for citizens and transforms an enterprise into a peaceful community. 

On that occasion, Mr. Heng Sour also conveyed the greetings of His Excellency and His Excellency Dr. Who always cares about the welfare of workers and employees and thinks about improving their living conditions. The Minister also informed everyone about the efforts of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training to ensure the harmony of professional relations by increasing close relations between workers and factory owners and enterprises to jointly resolve all problems and avoid labor disputes that lead to illegal strikes. In case of problems that are difficult to resolve or unclear on any point at the workplace, please immediately contact 1286 for the Ministry or Department of Labor’s dispute resolution team to mediate or explain, and 1297 for information on job opportunities or vocational training. The Minister also encouraged the enrollment of 1.5 million vocational students through TVET programs. He expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the factory owners who provided job opportunities and implemented labor laws in a good manner, as well as providing various benefits to the workers. The factory has modern production chain management and operation with automation technology and a comfortable workplace. Working conditions and occupational health and safety conditions at the factory are of high standards, and workers receive many benefits, including benefits from the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).

In this friendly atmosphere, workers expressed great joy at the presence of the ministry’s leadership. Which really shows the high level of care and warmth towards them, in accordance with the high recommendations of the President.  

Please note that the Sinki Apparel factory opened in 2025, which is a type of garment factory that supplies clothes to famous brands in the world, such as the UNIQLO brand. Currently, there are 6,614 workers (5,126 women) who enjoy good working conditions and many other benefits, including: a place for workers to eat and free lunch, etc.
