Phnom Penh: Mr. Sun Mesa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, said that the ministry’s experts, including the Department of Labor and the National Social Security Agency (NSSA), along with relevant local authorities, have been helping to intervene and send the injured to the hospital.

According to the spokesperson, the traffic accident that occurred in Thmey Village, Svay Chek Commune, Rom Duol District, Svay Rieng Province was caused by a brake failure, which caused the vehicle to overturn and injured 27 workers, including 5 serious injuries and 22 minor injuries.

In the spirit of caring for the workers, the ministry’s expert team continues to monitor and coordinate with hospitals on a regular basis. According to Mr. Sun Mesa.

At the same time, Mr. Sun Mesa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, strongly appealed to respect traffic laws, check vehicle specifications before traveling, and be as understanding as possible on the road so that workers who use the service will not continue to become victims.
