Xi Jinping He said that this year marks the 65th anniversary of the signing of the “Treaty on Mutual Assistance and Friendly Cooperation between China and the DPRK”. China-DPRK relations have stood at a new historical starting point. During this visit, I reached an important consensus with General Secretary Kim Jong-un. In response, Kim Jong-un said, I had a second talk with General Secretary Xi Jinping nine months later. We reached an important consensus on further promoting meaningful DPRK-China relations in the new era in the context of the new situation and exchanged comprehensive views on international and regional issues of common concern. This will surely push forward the traditional friendship between DPRK and China to develop more rapidly and contribute to peace and stability in the region and the world.
